Supplemental Medicare Coverage

I will soon be approaching 65 so I need to consider adding to my Medicare package the parts of medical expenses that Medicare does not cover and that is why you need to get different medicare supplement quotes. It all seems very confusing as there are supplemental insurance companies out there that only cover for example, Part B of Medicare. This section covers certain hospital procedures, medical equipment, such as devices which may include wheelchairs and other medical aids to create a better choice of comfort and mobility for me. With Part B, I have discovered that without supplemental Medicare insurance that I may face expenses that I can not afford on a fixed retired income.
Then, there is Part D. This part of Medicare covers prescription drug cost. Many important drug prescriptions are either not covered under Medicare, or what they do pay is not enough. This is a very essential part of Medicare supplemental insurance that people eligible for Medicare may not realize. Supplemental Part D insurance will cover many of these prescriptions as well, lower the cost of the co-pay.
Medicare Supplemental insurance gives me a better chance of choice of doctor, hospital and home care. The most difficult part is finding the right company that offers these Part B, C and D coverage that I can afford along with the Medicare payment that is removed from my monthly retirement Social Security check.
Researching each company and comparing costs has proved to be well worth my time. The Social Security Administration is more than willing to explain each and every detail of the whole program. They do not recommend companies, but gave me a list of companies to review and consider.
At the age of 65, senior adults can no longer be considered for disability. They automatically become retirees that will eventually need the Medicare Insurance and its supplemental parts.
